About Curated Golf Trips

What is Curated Golf Trips?

Curated Golf Trips is a golf travel concierge and itinerary marketplace. We publish curated signature golf road trips and build custom group golf trips anywhere in the United States.

Where in the U.S. do you plan golf trips?

Anywhere with public, resort or stay-and-play golf. Our guides cover the Southeast, Southwest, West Coast, Mountain West, Midwest, Northeast and Hawaii, and we regularly plan trips to places not on the site.

How big a group can you plan for?

From a single foursome to 40+ golfers. Groups of 8–16 are the most common.

Do your prices include airfare?

No. Budgets and proposals are quoted per person before flights, since groups usually fly from different cities. We're happy to suggest the best airports and arrival times.

Can you handle mixed handicaps and non-golfers?

Yes. We pick courses that work for the whole group, add short courses and team games, and build in non-golf activities when needed.

What's the difference between 'resort' and 'stay-to-play' courses?

Resort courses are open to the public but give hotel guests priority or better rates. Stay-to-play courses (like Sea Island or Bay Hill) are generally only available when you stay at the property.

Planning & budgets

How far in advance should you plan a golf trip?

Six to nine months for popular destinations in peak season, and 9–12 months for Bandon Dunes, Pebble Beach or Pinehurst No. 2 in spring or fall. Off-season trips can come together in a few weeks.

What is a good group size for a golf trip?

Eight to sixteen golfers is the sweet spot — two to four foursomes. It's big enough for team games and package discounts, and small enough for a single rental home and dinner table.

Do I need a golf travel concierge?

Not always, but it helps for larger groups, bucket-list destinations with stay-to-play rules, or multi-resort itineraries where tee times, lodging and transportation must line up.

What is the cheapest golf trip destination in the U.S.?

Myrtle Beach and Alabama's Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail are consistently among the best values, with many trips well under $1,500 per person before airfare.

Does the estimate include airfare?

No. Golf trip budgets are usually quoted before flights because the group flies in from different cities.

Is 36 holes a day too much on a golf trip?

For most groups, 36 every day is too much over four or more days. Two 36-hole days surrounded by 18-hole days is a popular balance.

Are second rounds cheaper?

Often, yes. Many resorts and multi-course facilities offer discounted replay rates for a second round the same day.

What is the best golf trip destination in the U.S.?

For pure golf, Bandon Dunes and Pinehurst are the consensus favorites. For a mix of great golf, weather and nightlife, Scottsdale is the most popular U.S. golf trip from January to April.

What is the best golf trip for a group of guys?

Myrtle Beach for value, Scottsdale or Las Vegas for golf plus nightlife, and Bandon Dunes or Sand Valley for a golf-only trip where the group plays 36 a day.

Where can you golf in the U.S. in winter?

Arizona, Southern California's desert, Florida, southern Texas, Southern Nevada and Hawaii are reliable winter golf destinations. Scottsdale and Palm Springs peak January through April.

Are stay-and-play golf packages cheaper?

Usually, compared with booking lodging and the same rounds separately at a resort. At value markets like Myrtle Beach the savings can be significant. A rental home plus public golf can still be cheaper for large groups.

Can a group customize a golf package?

Often, yes — groups can usually swap courses, add replay rounds or adjust nights. That's where a planner helps: we compare packages against custom builds and line up tee times, lodging and transportation.

What is the cheapest golf trip destination in the U.S.?

Myrtle Beach is generally the cheapest major golf destination thanks to its huge supply of courses and package deals, followed by Alabama's Gulf Coast and RTJ Golf Trail.

How much should a budget golf trip cost?

A value-level U.S. golf trip typically runs about $250–$450 per person per day before airfare, including lodging, golf and meals.

How many rounds should a golf bachelor party include?

Two to three rounds over three nights is the sweet spot. It leaves room for nightlife and keeps casual golfers engaged.

What if some of the group doesn't golf?

Choose a destination with strong non-golf options — Scottsdale, Las Vegas and Nashville are ideal — and plan the golf so non-golfers can join for a par-3 course, a driving-range venue or the 19th hole.

Should I bring my own clubs on a golf trip?

For trips of three or more rounds, most golfers prefer their own clubs. For short trips or bucket-list resorts with good rental sets, renting avoids airline fees and hassle.

What should I wear at a resort golf course?

Collared shirts, golf slacks or shorts, and golf shoes are standard. Some resorts restrict denim and require soft spikes — check the course's dress code before you go.

Signature trips

How much does a Pinehurst golf trip cost?

For four nights and five to seven rounds, expect roughly $1,700–$2,400 per person for a value trip, $2,800–$3,800 for a premium trip that includes Pinehurst No. 2, and $4,200+ for luxury — before airfare.

Is this itinerary walkable?

Yes. Every course on this trip can be walked, and caddies are available on the resort courses.

How much does a Scottsdale golf trip cost?

In peak season, four nights with four to five rounds typically runs about $2,300–$3,300 per person for a premium trip, before airfare. Value trips in November or late April can come in under $2,000.

Can we play 36 holes a day in Scottsdale?

Yes, especially at multi-course facilities like We-Ko-Pa, Troon North and Grayhawk, where replay rates are often discounted.

What does 'Summer 54' mean?

The core trip is 54 holes of headline golf across three days — Arcadia's Bluffs and South courses plus Forest Dunes — with optional bonus rounds at The Loop and a par-3 course thanks to summer daylight.

How much does a Northern Michigan golf trip cost?

Plan roughly $1,900–$2,700 per person for a premium three-night summer trip with on-site lodging, before airfare. That's often less than comparable trips on the coasts.
