Kiawah golf trip questions

Can anyone play the Ocean Course at Kiawah?

Yes, it's open to the public, though resort guests get preferred tee times and rates. Walking with a caddie is the classic way to play it.

Should we stay on Kiawah or in Charleston?

Stay on Kiawah for easy tee times and a resort feel; stay in Charleston if nightlife and dining matter more and you don't mind a 40–50 minute drive.
